Meet the Elite Homes team who are helping dreams come true!
A native of St. Louis, Joe has lived in Louisville since 1969. Founding Elite Homes 32 years ago with a $ 5.00 investment, Elite Homes is today a respected builder of custom homes in the Metro Louisville area. The company has become the largest locally owned home building company in the Greater Louisville area based on gross revenues. Elite Homes is currently developing 7 subdivisions in the Greater Louisville area and designs, builds or remodels 75 to 100 custom homes a year, ranging in price from $250,000 to over $1,000,000.
Joe believes in giving back. During the past 18 years, Joe has donated the profits from 12 homes he built, totaling over $750,000, to local charities.
Joe founded the Elite Homes Charitable Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to socio-economic, educational and medical-related charities throughout the greater Louisville, Kentucky region.
While remaining actively involved with many local, state and national home building associations, Joe has contributed time, money and in-kind donations to additional groups which include: the Louisville Orchestra: : the Louisville Fund for the Arts; the Louisville Metro United Way; the Salvation Army; Southeast Christian Church; the University of Louisville; Jefferson County Kentucky Public Schools; Junior Achievement; Louisville Public Television; Greater Louisville, Inc. (formerly the Louisville Area Chamber of Commerce); the Leadership Louisville Foundation; the March of Dimes; the Boy Scouts of America and Hospice of Louisville.
Joe’s brother and partner Rocky supervises Elite Homes’ construction superintendents day in and day out. It’s quite a job, because Elite is currently building custom homes in seven developments in Jefferson and Oldham Counties.
Rocky also is responsible for acquiring the land necessary for Elite Homes’ future developments. This means he works with local governments, public utility officials and engineers, all to make sure an Elite Home is sensitively placed on a home site, meets all codes and is built to Elite Homes’ high standards.
It’s a big job, but Rocky still finds time to help the industry, having served on many committees through the years. He is currently vice-president of the Home Builders Association of Louisville.
